By using the MudCrafts Safety Check service (“the Service”) you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Authorized use only

You represent and warrant that you own, or have explicit written authorization to assess, any URL you submit. You must affirm this before each scan. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use complies with all applicable laws, contracts, and acceptable-use policies. Unauthorized scanning is strictly prohibited.

2. Non-destructive, passive assessment

The external check is passive and read-only: it performs HTTP GET requests and DNS lookups against public endpoints. It does not attempt to exploit, authenticate, submit data, or alter the target. It is not a penetration test.

3. Point-in-time assessment

Every report reflects the state of the target at the moment of the scan. Websites, headers, dependencies, and configurations change constantly; a result can become outdated immediately after it is produced.

4. No warranty

The Service and all reports, scores, badges, and certificates are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. Automated external checks cannot detect every issue and may produce false positives or false negatives. A passing result is not a guarantee that a site is secure, compliant, or free of vulnerabilities.

5. Not legal or professional advice

Compliance notes (privacy, anti-spam, accessibility) are informational summaries of applicable frameworks for the selected region and are not legal advice. Consult qualified professionals before relying on them.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MudCrafts shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or any loss arising from your use of — or reliance on — the Service or its reports. You use the Service at your own risk.

7. Certificates & badges

Signed certificates attest that a specific check ran against the stated target at the stated time under the stated ruleset version. They do not certify ongoing security and may be revoked or superseded by later scans.

8. Changes

We may modify these Terms at any time; continued use constitutes acceptance of the current version.
